SHELTER

Short narratives

Director: R. J. Daniel Hanna

Length: 15 minutes

SHELTER stars Clea DuVall (Argo, Zodiac, Girl Interrupted) and April Grace (Whiplash, Magnolia), and takes place in one day at a local animal shelter, where Petra (Clea DuVall), a prison inmate trustee, works to help socialize a dog deemed too aggressive for society. As tensions build between herself and her hardened supervisor (April Grace), Petra will have to make a choice between what is best for her parole and what she feels is right. The two leads give nuanced performances that embody the perils of giving in to the system or lashing out against it.
